Promoting wolf conservation since 1999

Did You Know?

Wolves are crepuscular, meaning they are most active at dawn and dusk, as opposed to nocturnal (most active at night) or diurnal (most active during the day).

Wolves of North America

Learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolves in North America, and visit with the Ambassador wolves- Atka, Zephyr, Alawa, and Nikai.

The mission of the Wolf Conservation Center is to educate people about wolves, their relationship to the environment, and the human role in protecting their future.  Each of our education programs begins with a brief power-point presentation in our cozy cabin classroom, followed by an outdoor encounter at the Ambassador Wolf enclosures.  We strive to answer questions as we observe wolf behavior and howl with the wolves.  Program lengths vary but generally run approximately 1.5 hours.
